>LO< was my trio in the 1990ies. I got the title from a buddhist proverb, something like "LO! the river flows over the mountain", I can't remember exactly. I wanted something absurd, Dada-like, buddhist-like to set musical things in flow.
After writing and playing compositions I was searching for unconditional freedom. And yet I wanted to use that classical piano trio, putting new meanings, forms and life into it. The Wiesbaden HUMANOISE movement had a huge influence on me then - free improvisation. This is what you get on this CD. Also this was my first release on what you can call "a major label", well, major in terms of avantgarde Jazz. I was proud anyway! Enjoy the music!
